Water Main Repair in Oceanside

Hack’s Plumbing & Drain was called out for a main water line that was broken and needed to be replaced. The technician was able to give an estimate while on site. The property manager approved the technician to move forward with an estimate. The technician returned the following more and started to excavate. The technician found that the 2″ PVC 90 had blown out, and the faulty 2″ regulator needed to be replaced. Technician replaced section with 2“ fittings and 2″ copper pipe as well as a 2” schedule 80 MIP fitting. The technician then backfilled and compacted sand around the new meter boxes that the city provided. The technician turned on the water and bled out the air in the line at the hose bib before cleaning up the work area.
