Terms of Service

Last updated: August 12, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at hacksplumbinganddrain.com (the “Site”) and the plumbing and drain services provided by Hack’s Plumbing & Drain (“Hack’s Plumbing & Drain,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site, requesting an estimate, scheduling service, or opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.

1. Who we are

Hack’s Plumbing & Drain is a family-owned plumbing company serving San Diego County, California. You can reach us at:

2. Services and service area

We provide residential and commercial plumbing services, including drain cleaning, hydro jetting, camera inspections, leak detection, sewer and gas line work, repipes, water heaters and tankless water heaters, toilets, shower valves, garbage disposals, and septic line locating. Services are offered in San Diego County and the surrounding communities listed on our Areas We Serve pages. Availability of any particular service depends on location, scheduling, site conditions, and parts availability.

Requesting service through the Site, by phone, or by text does not create a binding agreement until we confirm the appointment and, where applicable, you approve a written estimate.

3. Estimates, pricing, and payment

  • Prices quoted on the Site, in promotions, or in advertising are estimates and are not a guaranteed final price. Final pricing depends on the actual scope of work found on site.
  • Where we provide a written estimate, that estimate governs the scope, price, and any warranty for that job. Work outside the approved scope requires your approval before we perform it.
  • Payment is due as stated on your estimate or invoice unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
  • Coupons, specials, and promotional offers cannot be combined unless stated, apply only to the services described, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Offers do not apply retroactively to completed work.

4. Scheduling, arrival windows, and cancellations

Appointment times are estimates. Emergency calls, permit inspections, traffic, and job conditions can shift arrival windows, and we will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed. Please contact us as early as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel so we can offer the slot to another customer. If a cancellation or trip fee applies to your job, we will disclose it before the work is scheduled or performed.

5. Your responsibilities as a customer

To let us work safely and effectively, you agree to:

  • Provide safe, lawful access to the property and to the areas where work is needed, and confirm you are the owner or are authorized to approve the work.
  • Clear personal belongings from the work area and secure pets.
  • Tell us about known hazards and about the location of unmarked lines, prior repairs, or non-standard plumbing where you are aware of them.
  • Provide accurate contact and billing information.

6. Warranties

Any warranty on labor or on parts we supply is the warranty stated in your written estimate, invoice, or the manufacturer’s warranty for the equipment installed. Warranty coverage does not extend to pre-existing conditions, damage caused by misuse, neglect, tampering, or work performed by others, or to normal wear.

Except for the warranties expressly provided in your written estimate or invoice, and except where prohibited by law, our services and the Site are provided “as is” without other warranties, express or implied.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Hack’s Plumbing & Drain is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the Site or our services. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Text message (SMS) terms

These SMS terms apply to text messages sent by or on behalf of Hack’s Plumbing & Drain.

Program description

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, Hack’s Plumbing & Drain may send you text messages about your service. Depending on the consent you give, these may include:

  • Service and account messages: appointment confirmations and reminders, technician dispatch and arrival notifications, estimates and invoices, follow-up on work performed, and replies to questions you send us.
  • Promotional messages: seasonal specials, maintenance offers, and other marketing messages — sent only if you separately consent to receive marketing texts.

How you opt in

You may opt in by giving us your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts — for example on a form on this Site, on a written estimate or service agreement, or by texting us first. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase of any goods or services. You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us and the type of messages you opt in to. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan.

How to opt out

You can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and will not send further texts to that number unless you opt in again. You may also ask us to remove your number by calling (858) 326-2860.

Help

For help, reply HELP to any message from us, call (858) 326-2860, or use our contact form.

Carriers and delivery

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is not guaranteed. Supported carriers may change without notice.

Privacy of your mobile information

We do not sell or rent mobile numbers or SMS consent to third parties for their own marketing. Information collected through our text messaging program is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Use of this Site

You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to interfere with the Site’s operation or security, attempt to gain unauthorized access to it, scrape or harvest data from it in a way that burdens our systems, or submit false information through our forms.

Do not rely on Site content to perform work involving gas lines, sewer lines, or anything else that may create a safety hazard — contact a licensed professional.

11. Reviews and submissions

If you submit a review, photo, testimonial, or other content to us, you grant us permission to use, display, and reproduce it in our marketing, including on this Site and on social media, unless you tell us otherwise in writing. Please do not submit content that you do not have the right to share.

12. Privacy and accessibility

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Our commitment to keeping this Site usable for visitors with disabilities is described on our Accessibility page.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the most recent changes took effect. Continued use of the Site or our services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms, the Site, or our services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
